PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION:
SUPPORTING UKRAINE’S FRONTLINE AND COMMUNITIES
In early March 2026, "That Day" NGO received a strategic shipment of humanitarian aid from our dedicated partners in the United Kingdom — Community Sponsors Charity and its Director, David Toplas.
This aid was immediately deployed to where it was needed most, supporting both military defense and humanitarian resilience in the Kherson region.
1. BRINGING WARMTH TO KHERSON’S SHELTERS
As part of our "Future for Children" and "Support for Women in Difficult Times" projects, a significant portion of the shipment consisted of warm clothing. Our team traveled to Kherson, a city under constant shelling, to meet with families living in subterranean shelters (bomb shelters)
- The Mission: We distributed clothing during our psychological support sessions and educational workshops for children.
- The Context: Providing warmth in these cold, damp shelters is essential for the physical and mental well-being of the youngest survivors.
2. SMART SOLUTIONS: USB-HEATED APPAREL
A standout feature of this donation was the innovative USB-heated clothing. Following our "Rational Volunteering" philosophy, we distributed these items based on maximum utility:
- Children & Teens: Smaller sizes were given to kids in Kherson to keep them warm during long hours in unheated shelters.
- Frontline Defenders: Larger sizes were dispatched to the front lines. For soldiers in the trenches, these heated garments are a game-changer for maintaining health and focus during cold nights.
3. ENERGY RESILIENCE FOR THE FRONTLINE
We also received a shipment of generators and high-capacity power stations. These units are already operational on the front lines, providing critical power and communication in combat conditions — directly helping to protect women and children from the brutality of Rashism!
